RBUK on one of our biggest projects to date…
Trago Mills is a chain of department stores with locations across South Cornwall and Devon, and one in Wales. It was the Wales location that RBUK had a huge hand in…
Back in the 1990s Trago Chairman, Bruce Robertson, saw the potential to develop the site of the former Heolgerrig Brickworks in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales. After years of planning permissions, ground levelling and construction work, the foundations for brand new Trago Mega-Store were laid. This is where RBUK came in.
The 200,000 square foot store (for some perspective that’s nearly the size of 5 football pitches!) would have proven a daunting task to some, but here at RBUK we relish a challenge.
We took on the project with enthusiasm and provided a complete shop fit out. This included all of the shop fittings, shop shelving, installation services, project management, bespoke manufactured displays, retail display systems, turnstiles, shopping baskets and shopping trolleys, as well as the trolley shelters in which to house them. We even supplied the office furniture through the furniture division of our parent company, Eliza Tinsley Ltd.
From unloading the containers to the install, this huge project was completed in 28 days.
“We became a huge part of the Trago Family” says Bill Richards the Sales Director for RBUK. “It’s a relationship that has continued beyond the project and we are very grateful to the Trago family for the opportunity and their hospitality throughout the exercise.”
The RBUK team were on hand right up until the grand opening at the end of the April 2018.
The Trago Mills store in in Merthyr Tydfil has truly been built from the ground up and we’re very proud that we had the opportunity to be a part of it.
